An individual who recently received his Ph.D. wrote his thesis on intimate relations between humans and robots and how possible this could be.

There are many interpretations open for argument, but I must say that I enjoyed this quote the most:
“The main benefit of human-robot marriage could be to make people who otherwise could not get married happier, ‘people who find it hard to form relationships, because they are extremely shy, or have psychological problems, or are just plain ugly or have unpleasant personalities,’ Levy said. ‘Of course, such people who completely give up the idea of forming relationships with other people are going to be few and far between, but they will be out there.’”
The ethical dilemmas surrounding this controversial issue touches the heart when you think about how hard an individual looks for another mate and no soul mate is lurking around the corner. With a robot, these individual could find their dream person? robot? personality? (What exactly do you classify a robot lover as?)
But what’s really funny to think about is how technology advances each day and when will it change? When will it happen that technology is no longer a metaphor but a principle that is taking over our lives?
