I later came to the realization that the war in which he was referring was WWII. (I would have realized that sooner had I read the date:1945 in the upper right hand caption of the page). So, I then understood the concept or phenomenon of war resulting or spurring new technologies that the general population most always bulks at in the beginning. Why are we so resistant to change? Is it the fear of the unknown or stubborness, the lack of deisre to learn something new simply because were used to the "old" more familiar way?

I am finding that I am moving to water most of the time, too, except for the Vitamin Water which I drink during class because it keeps some flavor. But, now at almost all meals its water and no longer iced tea or cranberry juice. . . .

There was a Law and Order:SVU episode this past season that discussed the dangers of virtual worlds. The consequences of one womans sexual desires actually led to her rape.

My condolences to the family. I used to live in Triad and when to Beau everyday. This seems unreal. We were at times rowdy. But never the least bit violent. Unheard of.

Outstanding points made in here! Yes, the structure of online spaces contributes in large amount to the ways in which information is presented, represented, and interpreted.

In studies of classification systems these are called "forcing functions" as they force the user to construct and the reader to interpret information is a set way.
